Dames at Sea first premiered off-Broadway in 1968. It now returns to the Helen Hayes Theatre for its first ever Broadway run. Starring Eloise Kropp, Lesli Margherita and John Bolton, Dames at Sea follows Ruby (Kropp) who steps off the bus from Utah into her first Broadway show. Unfortunately, hours before the curtain rises on opening night, the cast learns their theatre is going to be demolished. Determined to perform, Ruby, the cast and some wonderfully friendly sailors make a plan to perform on a naval battleship. Music: Jim Wise, Book & Lyrics: George Haimsohn and Robin Miller, Director & Choreographer: Randy Skinner.

“DAMES AT SEA is a technicolor, tap dance-filled tribute to the movie musicals of the 1930s. It’s delightful. Eloise Kropp is winning. Mara Davi is excellent.  Dames at Sea has the gumption of a mighty battleship.” - NBC

“So fresh that it feels as if it all just materialized for you. Delightful!” – NEW YORKER

“Tap heaven!  Two hours of tap dancing mayhem.” - NPR
